Types of Decay Video

What I found interesting in learning about the different types of decay is that in each case a new element is produced. I also learnt that in neutrons can actually become protons by emitting an electron! This is beta decay. This was a new idea to me. Similarly, protons can become neutrons by emitting a positron. This is positron emission. Lastly, I learnt that in alpha decay, the atom emits an alpha particle that consists of 2 neutrons and 2 protons, which has the same configuration as helium because it has the same mass number and atomic mass.
